Bridalveil Fall is my favorite waterfall in Yosemite Valley. It pours from a "hanging valley," making it appear as if it flows straight from the sky. Its graceful drop over the cliff edge gives it a magical sense of motion and lightness.
As a rock climber, I can’t look at Bridalveil without also admiring Leaning Tower, the dramatic rock face just to the right of the falls. In autumn, the golden and orange hues in the granite glow with the season’s light, making this trio of waterfall, cliff, and color a truly breathtaking sight.
