A dear friend commissioned this piece one spring a few years ago. As a devoted river-lover and boater, they’ve spent countless days immersed in the magic of the Merced River Canyon. They hoped I would capture the vibrant hillsides blanketed in poppies, the brilliant redbuds lining the river’s edge, and the river’s powerful source: Yosemite Valley.
